The Clay County Animal Shelter is the proud owner of an impressive new dog hotel. Located at 503 North Carroll in Henrietta, the facility’s primary mission from its founding in the year 2000 has been to provide a no-kill shelter giving care for abandoned animals until forever homes are found.
In 2021 alone, 95 furry friends were adopted. Animals are provided full vet services before adoption, including cats checked for feline diseases and dogs for heart worms.
After the intense February winter storm, the shelter decided to raise funds for a new building protecting their outside dogs from harsh elements.
