Since 2006, Wise County Christian Counseling has been ushering in hope for the journey by providing professional counseling for children, teens, and adults struggling with things like depression, anxiety, marriages, grief, relationships, and a multitude of other concerns.
Many years ago, Beverly Ross and her husband moved to Decatur, Texas, to pastor a church. As the couple settled in and began to fall in love with the community, Beverly began to wonder what it could look like to create a non-profit in Decatur.
While she was licensed to do private practice, Beverly felt convicted to create a space where everyone could have access to resources for their struggles.
“I wanted to help people who are broken-hearted, hurting, or who just needed additional life skills- whether they could afford professional counseling services or not,” said Beverly when asked what drove her to create Wise County Christian Counseling.
At Wise County Christian Counseling, it is their mission to walk out Romans 15:3 in everything they do. Providing this crucial hope involves ensuring that nobody is turned away because they cannot pay. Clients are encouraged to pay on a sliding scale from $0 to $120.
