I don’t know about you, but my house always seems a little dull and boring after all the Christmas decor is put away for another year. No more twinkling lights and sparkly orbs. It seems the house is a little lifeless – just like the landscape outdoors. But oh the relief when I remember that in January, it is in fact, perfectly acceptable to decorate for Valentine’s Day. Thank heavens my decor-loving heart can beat again.
I don’t go overboard for this holiday; I like to keep it simple. The cliche is true that sometimes less is more. All the house needs is a few candles burning and a pretty table, and this girl is happy. Sprinkle some pink around, and those January blues disappear.
