Land sales also are blooming or booming (depending on where you are from). You can’t hardly drive down any stretch of road in Texas without seeing a for sale sign of some kind. Similar to the Texas oil boom, Texas land owners have figured out there is money to be made in the land. Not only are Texans eager to sell, but the rest of the world is ready to invest in Texas.
Since 2013 sales of bare land have been on the rise. Investors from across the country are eager to get their hands on raw Texas land. Many times they simply buy, and watch it grow in value. Other times new land owners will market their property for purposes such as hunting and recreational activities. Another popular trend I have seen is investors purchasing large portions of property, splitting it up and selling to building contractors.
