It’s time to start planning your opportunity to experience the four major food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate and chocolate truffles! The Eighth Annual Dallas Chocolate Festival will be held September 8th-10th. This year, the popular three-day event will take place in the heart of the Dallas Art District at the Fashion Industry Gallery. Tickets will go on sale August 10.
Some event highlights include an evening cocktail party on Friday, September 8th packed full of chocolate surprises.
Saturday, September 9th is the main event with chocolate vendors, classes and family fun. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests can sample sweets, shop chocolates, pastries, and specialty foods. Some of the Dallas Chocolate Festival vendors include: Amano Artisan Chocolate (Orem, UT), Bisous Bisous Patisserie, Cacao Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM), Escazú Artisan Chocolate (Raleigh, NC), Fresco Chocolate (Lynden,WA), FT33, Hello Cocoa (Fayetteville, AR), Hoja Verde (Ecuador), Izard Chocolates (Little Rock, AK), K’UL Chocolates (Minneapolis, MN), Letterpress Chocolate (Los Angeles, CA), Potamac Chocolate (Woodbridge, VA), SRSLY Chocolate (Austin), Wiseman House (Hico, TX), Xocolla (Sugarland, TX) and many local Dallas vendors.
Once again, Madame Cocoa (Adrienne Newman) will serve as mistress of ceremonies with Kandace Krueger working her magic in the Whole Foods classroom. Free demonstrations and classes will happen on Sunday, September 10th throughout the day. They include “Strange Chocolate Pairings” with Megan Giller and “Breaking Down the Chocolate Wall” with Heather Holland. These offer participants an up close and personal chocolate experience in Bisous Bisous Patisserie’s state-of-the-art commissary kitchen located in the Design District.
